I attended Barcroft School while living across the road in Alcova Heights, which is the reason for the link to the community website. I lived in Alcova Heights and Barcroft apartments (across the street from Barcroft proper) for most of my childhood. I spent many happy hours in and around Four Mile Run, especially the tributary running through Alcova Heights, Doctor's Run. Northern Virginia is fortunate to be criss-crossed with wonderful stream valleys.
